Various Companies operates from Majunga to North Madagascar (Antisiranana province) CTVA is most reliable.
The Fare is listed (photo attached) always good to book a day in advance to get better choice of seats. Majunga Taxi Brousse Station (Gare Routier, same for departure to Antananarivo) is very well organized and all the booking offices are under 1 shed and located at Rue Georges Ranaivoson GPS -15.721665, 46.326886 (reachable by Pousse Pousse or Tuk Tuk 1,000 or Taxi 3,000 MGA)
Most Common and Economical Way of Travel to Mahajanga (in fact to most cities in Madagascar) is Taxi Brousse. They are Frequent, Reliable and Cheap, although for some it may not be so comfortable. The Journey is on the RN 4 which is abrasive but no big bumps or pot hole (if the vehicle's glass are loos then the banging noise can be terrible) Mahajanga stop (Gare Routier pronounced as GARUTIER) is most organized properly sheltered parking lot, is at Rue Georges Ranaivoson, Taxi MGA 3,000 to anywhere in Town, and Posse Pousse MGS 1000~2000 are available there.
From Antananarivo 14 seater Vans (2 Seats in the front, 3 X 4 in the back, seat # 3 is more comfortable but less legg space) departs from Ambodivona (5 to 10 minutes by Taxi from Independence Avenue) the Fare is MGA 25,000 and take 12 Hours with around 1 hour meal/and several loo breaks, departures in the evening 5~6 PM Advance Booking is required (one or two days ahead) to get the best possible seat.

Other Option is Premier Class Vans which take only 5 passangers, the fare is MGA 75,000 to 80,000 and option to have booking at Hotel Melis in Antananarivo, Travel Time is similar but the departure is only early morning (either way) reaching Majunga/Antananarivo in the evening, Advance Booking (several days ahead) are required, Lunch Box is Provided and the drop off is at the Corniche Majunga not at the usual "Gare Routier"
Another Option is to hire entire Taxi Brousse @ MGA 25,000 X 14 seats if travelling as a group of 4 to 6 peoples. This allows you to be picked up from your hotel, depart on your convinient time and to have more space for your self on comfortable seatings and you can stop along the way where ever you want and as many times you want, and dropped of at your hotel up on reaching the destination.
if you allow the driver to pick up other passangers, the price will be reduces according to number of seats. Booking a day earlier is and inspection of the seats are advised, the drivers are generally good, cautious and courtieous and know the raods very well as they travel on just 1 Route To and From and are all regestered. Evening departures are coordinated with others and they travel in convoys, there are frequent security checkposts day and night and considered as safe on this route.
Luggage is included in the Fare mentioned above, its stored on the roof and properly covered with plactic to keep them dry in case of rain.
Restaurants on the way are generally clean but it is better to have Lunch Boxes/Water/Fruits pre arranged before departing, do not leave the Van un attended while have a break mid way. If travelling at Night, A Pull Over or Light Jacket is recommended as it get very cold and windy at highlands
These spacious Motorized Rickshaws/Tuk Tuks are new in town and available easily, are shared for 3 peoples, MGA 1,000 from A to B via Fixed Pre Assigned Routes, First Come First Drop off unless your destination come first then the passangers sharing the tuk tuk

The Fare is Fixed to any destination (Point A to Point B) in Mahajanga which is MGA 3,000 during day time and 3,500 to 4,000 at Night
Better Negotiate and Fix Fare if planning to go multi destination, according to normal practice if you use the Cab from Point A to Point B and then go to Point C the fare will be 3,000 X 2 no matter the distance travelled but can be cheaper if you inquire and inform the driver first.
It is common the driver may take other passangers on the way if there is any seat vacant in the vehicle, some drivers can speak basic / resonable english can be found near the Hotel Akbar/Paradice Restaurant
No Uniform Color of the Cab, there are TAXI Signs on the rooftop, most common vehicle is near vintage Renault
They are Uniform Blue/Red Colored and Registered by Numbers, Man Powered Pousse Pousse for short distance, MGA 1,000 but these guys deserve a bit extra to serve in the scorching heat
The Coverage is good and frequent, Fare from MGA 300 and the covered destinations/stops are clearly marked on the wind screen
