Hike up to Fort Dauphins highest peak, Pic St. Louis. There's a well marked path leading up to the 529m high peak, about 4km away from the town. It takes about one and a half hours to climb up but the views are worth it.

The Nahampona Reserve has reputably the same lemurs as Berenty plus 1 more. 3 of the species are used to visitors and can be easily found: Verraux' sifakas, ringtailed lemurs and maroons. Bring some bananas with you if you want to feed them. There are also some crocodiles in a separate enclosure.
Tickets are sold in the center and includes a guide. No other payments are required. Some of the guides speak english. Make sure you get a good one - our first one was drunk and constantly asking for money!
