Clean and very cheap restaurant to eat Malawi food, where You can get proper meal, not just chicken and chips like most of Blantyre restaurants. They have a buffet during lunch time, where you can choose, Beef, chicken, goat, rice, soup, nshima. It's in victoria road, city center.

This is a hidden gem in Blantyre. Very Tasty and HOT ethiopian food, in small restaurant at city center. The owner is a lady from Ethiopia and she cook the food herself. I liked having small talk with her.

The best restaurant in Blantyre (that we found). It's linked with the Protea hotel and is next door. And this place does amazing steaks, cooked to perfection! There are also other choices such as fish dishes and salads and I think there were bar snacks too. The dessert menu is also worth a look.
It's a colonial style place, with olde English books lining the dark wood-panelled furniture and a peaceful atmospher inside.
As the best in Blantyre it was also the most expensive (about $10 US for a steak) but when you've been eating rice for a few weeks it's certainly worth the treat!!
Favorite Dish: We both had rare rumpsteak with huge chips and roasted vegetables mmmm

That's one of few places open on Sundays in Blantyre. The food is really poor. Go there if you are REALLY hungry.
