Starlight disco is one of two discos in Lilongwe. It is open during the week, but Friday and Saturday nights are the best. The crowd at this place are young middle class people. And the music is African or American Hip-Hop music. The place has pool tables.

Harry’s Bar is also a Mzungu-owned bar in Lilongwe, run by a British man married to a Malawian woman. This place has an European atmosphere and the guest are more white expatriates. You can eat grilled braii meat. The location next to Ubunthu Theater makes this place popular.

Chameleon's is a Mzungu-owned bar in Lilongwe, run by a Scotsman. It's more white expatriate in this place. The atmosphere is not African. Drinks and food are available. Friday night is most popular and they usually have live music.

Diplomats is a bar with African ambiance. The music is African or American Hip-Hop. Yoy can eat grilled braii meat, and of course cold beer. It's crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, the rest of the week is quiet.

Goodfellows is a bar in the old town with a typical African ambiance. It's a kind of sports bar with 5 TV's. You can watch mostly English Premier League football. The bar plays African music. The food menu is basic, but the place has lots of cold beer.

Chez Ntemba is one of two discos in Lilongwe. It's the most popular dance place in Lilongwe. Friday and Saturday nights are the best time to go and it’s open until the next morning.
