The original national beer was told by the locals to be Kuche Kuche (see pictures). But that beer is made by the only brewery in Malawi, Carlsberg. Several other brews are available including Green, Brown, Stout, Classic, Gold and Elephant. Other imported beers can be bought, but they are more expensive, like Heineken, Castle, Windhoek and Amstel.

On a beach by a big lake called Lake Malawi. It was a very nice evening, the rain had stopped, and we had a cozy fire. I wasn't afraid, cause my mom, my brother and the others we were travelling with all looked after me. But I had to sit a bit away from the fire, since I have quite a warm fur, sweater and rain trousers!

this place was very special, in fact it was all the town had.
Chilanga has at most 20 homes, about 15 - 20 people live in each home right enough, and this spot was all the town needed, it was the hotel, provided you waited for everyone to leave the nite club because your bed was a dusty floor,
it was the restaurant if you were acustomed to dead goat that had been hanging out in the back room for a week, not to mention the only place you could get fuel if you were daft enough to come this far without your own.

The beach bar at 'Des's Chitimba Beach Campsite' is great particularly if you are staying here.
It is right on the beach, great cocktails, and great music - though it can tend to go on until 3am!) It also has a pool table and utdoor seating and btw It's also a great camp to stay at.
Dress Code: Anything.
