Inside the Appaloosa by Alpha_Ghana L'Appaloosa is a tex-mex restaurant opened over the night during weekends. It offers a simple food nicely served.
Steak a la planca. Malian beef is particularly tasty and soft, no hormones, no GMO, etc. Almost as good as in South Africa. Soukhotai by Alpha_Ghana There are some restaurant ran by expatriates which are very good in Bamako, particularly when you spent weeks in the bush and you come back to civilisation. The owner is a Flemish Belgian from Alost and his wife his from Thailand. The menu offers a large range of delicious dishes, all of them very tasty and healthy. The restaurant is often full during weekend evening, so it is better to make a reservation
No real favorite dish, I enjoy the whole menu. Leave a Comment Theme: Pan-Asian and Pacific RimPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: BP E-2538 FleuvePhone: +223 222 2448Directions: Rue 311 Quartier du Fleuve Bamako

Thierry, the owner and the cook will greet you with a large range of different Belgian specialities accomodated with sometimes local stuffs. You can have dinner outside a the terrasse, or inside with airconditionning. Prices are curiously very low for imported food.
A choice of Belgian beers like Kriek, gueuze, Rodenbach, Blanche, etc Don't take French wine there, not good quality, prefer his South African wine. Starters with salad and cheese, Real lamb meet, very rare in Africa to find young animal flesh. A nice restaurant/bar. The food is good, particularly the italian food, there is a good salad bar too. The prices are medium. However, if you wish you can swim for free after a meal in the hotel pool.

Amandine, Badalabougou to the south of Bamako across the old bridge Friendly staff, good food. Brilliant patisserie.
We are regulars at this restaurant. We have tried many things from the varied menu. Don't be mislead by the 'fast food' menu .. it's NOT .. service can be very slow indeed. The pizzas are very good ..try the four seasons one. We buy schwarmas and pizza and freeze them at home to eat later. A Malian restuarant run by Malians. The decor is fabulous, mostly in terracotta colours with local artwork . There are lots of artefacts hung on the walls. This is not just a restaurant as there are several shops and galleries on the site. There is lots to see and buy, although prices are high for the tourist items. There is an art gallery on the site but the prices are almost London gallery prices. The food is good and freshly prepared although the service is rather slow. The menu is quite limited but all the dishes are good and the prices are quite low. the navarine of lamb is particularly good. Don't miss the local fruit drinks. The 'melange' is really good, but watch out for the ginger! The staff are nice and friendly.. I went for a meal there the other day and they had a great guitarist and balafon player. Most evenings they have live music and at other times play local music over the PA system.
The brochettes are good. There are a range of Malian dishes on offer. Thierry is a Malian/French. He makes the best pizza of Bamako, made on a woodfire. It is only open after 7PM, I like to have dinner outside in a warm atmosphere, cool live music, local decoration.

Located in the Quartier du Fleuve, the restaurant and bar is decorated in the style of Marseilles with a touch a Provences. You will eat Provencal food accomodated with what they can find in Mali.
