There seem to be baches (covered pickup trucks) to Djenne but they cost 2500 CFA and we couldn't find out where they started.
We waited along the main street until a bus stopped. He took us for 1500 CFA to the carrefour (crossroads).
There we waited, sheltering for the sun, for someone to take us to Djenne.
We had to wait more than two hours before a black Mercedes stopped and took us to Djenne for 1500 CFA.
Even more expensive, our trip, than a bache

The local Ashraf Tours proposed us an all-in trip (transport, food, sleeping places, money for the chefs de village, a guide...) for 90.000 CFA per person or 65.000 if we would be willing to join a recently formed group of 4 other Belgians.
Of course, the last proposition was the best for us
They would come and take us at the hotel, give us breakfast and then we would be off for 4 days...

Booking a Timbuctu trip:
Bambara Tours asks 80.000 CFA (per person, per day) to drive with a 4x4 to Timbuctu (driver included)
With a pinasse (pirogue boat with motor) it would be possible to go to Timbuctu for 650.000 CFA. For 10 to 20 people. TRy to find that many people in low season. Impossible
Both options looked extremely expensive for us and we changed our plans
