I made no ensurance for the car this time I went to Mauritania. Its ilegal as you know. So the police stoped me and asked me for the papers i didnt have. he called me apart and told me: ok, i know you dont have the ensurance and you're far away from the big city to make it, so i'll give you a chance. give me 300UM and you can go free. I did it. nice... much cheaper that paying the actual ensurance price I say.

this guys where the owners of a grocery store with all sort of products. they suprised me creating this pose for the picture. this reaction is indeed not normal in mauritania, where usually people dont like to be photographed very much.

the big majority of people in mauritania dont really feel confortable in front of cameras. you should always ask before you make a shot.
