Just as you enter Akjoujt, after the police control, on the right, you will see this amazing spped limit in the middle of the desert, going towards nowhere.
Maybe Mauritanians want to take care of the speed of their camels?

Terjit is a wonderful oasis located 12km from Atar. Atar is 180km from Akjoujt, i'm already talking you about it already for you to understand that if you're heading Atar, this Terjit place is a must.
This spring is signposted before Ain Ahel At Taya. A hot spring and several cool ones water a tight awesome oasis of a great beauty. this place is right on the buttom of a cliff valley. Some pre historical cave painting can be seen near the camp also.

go for a small walk and try to understand where people actually are. i saw just a few. I have no idea where did all go. like a ghost town. The whole city is build in mud like buildings that seems to be part of the surrounding landscape.
