ferry at Rosso

Favorite thing: There are 5 ferries per day.
If you intend to be in Roos after 12AM and before 5PM, you rather take the bridge over the Dam of Diama. There is no ferry during the nap of the Governor and you would wait up to 5 hours. If your car is inside the park, there is no way to go out.
When you are there by car, you have all the problems and nuisances of an African border (although it is nothing compared to the Senegalese side).
It costs 3000 Ouguiyas to cross with your car. You need a ECOWAS insurance card to drive in Senegal
You will be surrounded by people who want to help you. They will propose to take your documents and arrange everything on the other side (they cross on a small boat) and when you arrive you can go direclty. Don't give them. When you are on the other side, you need to see the custom officers, the police, etc just because they want to collect some money from you. This does not save time and costs a lot of money.
If you are there by car, give 1000 UM to a custom guy in order to have your car on the ferry on the first row or at least on the ferry when they are many people. Being the first on the ferry will save you a lot of time because you will be the first at the police and at the custom.
To know what happens on the other side, read the Senegalese Rosse
