    if you speak french, then you should understand the name says it all
    this place is called something like Unlucky Point, in fact, the weather can be pretty rough and change suddenly into a storm, like when i went
    in the past, a lot of ships stopped here for the bad weather and the ship broke into the rocks

    I was told by the locals that the waters off Cap Malheureux is very good for deep sea fishing, and one of the best spots in Mauritius.

    There are many fruit stores along the streets of the various towns in Mauritius, and there is one near the scenic point at Cap Malheureux. You can buy some pineapples here to cool you down from the sunshine.

    There is a chapel at the scenic point next to the sea where you can see the Coin De Mire on a good day. This chapel is one of the landmarks in Mauritius and worth a visit.

    There is a cosy restaurant near to Cap Malheureux called the Nirvana which is said to have the best North Indian dishes in Mauritius. I ate there and found the food to be very delicious.

    You can see lots of volcanic black rocks on the shore of Cap Malheureux as well as other parts of Mauritius which indicates the island's volcanic origins.
