A church in Curepipe. For the catholics (approximately 350 000), the large centre of the religious feeling is Sainte-Croix, in the suburbs of Port-Louis. It is there that formerly, during the XIXth century, the Father Laval, forgetful of his own misery missionary, looked into misfortunes of the black people.
