The climate on the west coast is relatively dry and hot. In summer, the heat often gets so uncomfortable that having to walk 100 meters under the sun is a decision to take. The west coast is therefore best outside the peak summer months of December to March. A T-Shirt (or less) is all you need in summer (November to March.) A sweatshirt or something warmer is necessary for winter evenings (June to August).
