We spent our holiday in Mauritius. We have booked a car in advanced from Pingouin Car Hire. Our car were delivered to us at the airport of Mauritius in time and we were able to reach our villa in Blue Bay. I recommend Pingouin Car Rental in Mauritius.

The bus station in Mahébourg is located next to the waterfront. There are lots of buses leaving to Port Louis (23Rs), Curepipe (21Rs), Flaq, Blue Bay (14Rs) and other destinations in the Southeastern part of the island. Buses run roughly between 7am and 7pm. The buses to Port Louis and Curepipe (except for the express buses) stop at the airport.

There are regular daily package trips from the main island to Ilie Aux Cerfs island, which have the boat rides and the option of including meals and a visit to the Grand River Waterfall.
