Favorite thing: In Mauritius, driving is on the left side of the road and drivers have to give way to traffic from the right. Visitors wit a driving license issued by a competent authority in their respective countries are allowed to drive during their stay in Mauritius.

Favorite thing: Take your best beach and casual wear. In the winter months (June - September) light woolen clothing is recommended for the evenings.
Please show due respect when visiting Hindu religious places. Wear appropriate clothing and remove leather shoes and belts when entering the temples..

Favorite thing: I loved this country as I must say I've loved all the places where I've been to. But Mauritians are happy, sincere and kind people.
I visited Mauritius in Autumn which is best time at year if you want to relax. It's the beginning of high season and you can see it when most of the restaurants are almost empty at dinner time and at daytime you find beaches just for you two. Also weather isn't too hot.
