While walking on the beach, we came across many interesting things. a sea plane, hindu temple , hawkers selling clothes, etc. The beach facing houses are also very beautiful and I heard that they are not too expensive...

You can take a walk on the beach at Mont Choisy. It is a beutiful beach. Most of the hotels have encroached on the beach but don't let that bother you. All beaches in Mauritius are public beaches. However the hotel beaches are more cleaner than the public beaches.

Address: Mont Choisy
Mont Choisy beach can be reached in a little over 5 minutes by bus from Grand Baie.
This quiet beach, backed by tall casuarina trees, was my favourite beach during my visit to Mauritius in February 2008.
The long stretch of golden sand was almost empty during my visit, with rows of unoccupied sun beds and plenty of space to lay out my towel.
The water is warm, shallow and crystal clear. Unlike the beach at Grand Baie, you can enjoy a swim without the sea being busy with fishing boats. And unlike the beaches at Trou aux Biches, where there are lots of watersports on offer, you don’t have to keep an eye out for speedboats and jet skis.
You can walk along the beach to Trou aux Biches, several kilometres away. I would highly recommend undertaking this seaside walk, stopping off en route for a swim to cool down. You’ll occasionally have to climb over a few rocks (nothing too strenuous), but most of the walk can be completed along the sand. Along the way, you’ll see that some beaches (in front of luxury hotels and villas) appear to be private, but there are no private beaches in Mauritius (all are open to the public), and don’t let any of the security guards employed by the hotels tell you otherwise!
There are no restaurants or shops at Mont Choisy beach (or at least I didn’t see any), but you can find ice cream vans, fast food stalls and trucks selling fruit in the shade of the casuarina trees behind the beach.
You may encounter the odd “tout” walking along the beach trying to sell jewellery, or boat trips, or most likely fresh fruit, but they won’t hassle you and you’ll generally find the beaches here to be very peaceful.
