Favorite thing: It is at Mardaye, to Tamarind, a small boutique on the Royal Road, just in front of the saltpan, that you will find the best gato papate of Mauritius.
He also proposes you some luscious gato piman.
Fondest memory: Attention, the tradition wants that it proposes them to 15:30 precise. Before doesn't have some again, after that is often too late!

We took a catamaran (great way to enjoy the sun) out to Tamarin Bay. The depth gauge on the catamaran registered 40m - the waters surrounding Mauritius can be so pleasantly shallow. We spotted this......
