Marrakesh at night. What else is there to do for 2 women traveling together, but eat at the food stalls, and flirt with the 12 year old dish washer (he asked me to marry him...I was tempted)When you get bored, take a stroll around to see the snake charmers, belly dancers, drummers, water sellers, herbalists, fortune tellers, story tellers..etc...etc

The Djema'a el Fna, or Square, of Marrakech is alive with activity. Tourists pass by, Moroccans from the country arrive for day and NIGHT in the city and gawk at the entertainers, Marrakechis move along on their business.

MARRAKECHDinner at Chez Ali.... here in MARRAKECH. Let me try and describe this place. Though it's very touristy, it's a really lovely place. This castle like place (with fortress and all) serves very delicious Moroccan meals and.... and... we got to sit in tents somewhere in the Sahara Desert.... and even managed to watch some 'live' entertainment - Moroccan style. What can I say? I was enthralled, of course. Photo Below: That's me and my American-Filipina friend, Pilar feeling our way around this colorful tent!

Marrakech: spectacle organised for several hundred attendants at 'ALI'. Multiple orchestras, dance groups, dinner under Oriental Royal tents, performances (horses)......A pity thatvthe perfomers lack absolutely enthusiasm for wahat they're doing. Even dancers and musicians leave their performing group to beg for money and to hassle the tourists. What else is there? Casual

Who hasn't heard of the Djemma el Fna in Marrakesh?! The thing is ... it lives up to its wild reputation. Fabulous food, gripping entertainment. What we did was take a hotel (with rooftop terrace) right on the square so we could continue to watch the fun even once we'd gone 'home'.
