You have to prepare yourself to have loads of photos, so don't forget your camera, bring also all the necessary things to protect yourself from the sun, and also some good money for the shopping!
During February while traveling to marrakech, zagora/sahara desert, essaouira, and casablanca, I did not need mosquito repellent at all. I did see bed bugs but did not get bitten.
Mosquito repellant is a must.
