Getting to Cascades d'ouzoud

My prime recommendation is to travel Morocco to maximise your time and sights - independence in photo taking and getting off the beathen/public transport limited track to see more and more of the beauty spots there is to see - with your own wheels. I used to complain that rental cars were so expensive in Morocco whereas really they are no more expensive than elsewhere around Europe or the USA. (I can still get cars for £20-25 a day - the right contacts and perhaps a bit of haggling!).

Cascades d'ouzoud is a dead end road with the nearest town being Azilal - which is serviced by public transport with buses and grande taxis from Marrakech to Azilal and Beni Mellal - and there are grande taxis that come from there to Cascade d'ouzoud.

But with sights around the area such as the blue waters of the nearby Bin el-Oiudane hydro lake on the way to Beni Mellal and the detour you can take to Demnate to see its natural bridge and dinosaur footprints its well worth having your own wheels to drive around here.

Hire a car in Marrakech to see the sights from there - and include a visit to Cascades d'ouzoud.
