When you reach the valley down into the oasis you see the huge and rather dramatic rock formations before - go down into the oasis and you will see how even more interesting they are.

the road to Fint is fairly flat and stoney with not much interest other than some hills and land formations and dam along the way until you get to the actual sudden decline over and down into the valley that is the oasis of Fint with its dramatic rock formations and vegetation.
Driving back though you are looking at quite nice views of Ouarzazate in amongst the hills and mountains that surround the city.
Its 10 km of piste but it didnt seem anywhere near as harsh as the way coming to Fint!!

some locals i knew in Ouarzazate had recommended the drive and visit to see Fint but made the comment drive to the panorama of Fint and then turn around and come back. When i got to the top of the look over into the oasis and to Fint its better to drive down to see better the interesting rock formatiions and go down to the river crossing and oasis area with its flowers and vegetation.
There was too much water in the river and it looked like dirt river base rather than stones so looked obviously uncrossable in my car.
It was pretty there though with pink oleanders and fields and lovely rocks around me.
there were quite a few guys around though asking how i was and if i was going into the village. then they started asking if they could get a lift back with me to Ouarzazate which would be kind but i wasnt wanting to do.
i still dont know much about Fint other than its a french name and the large obvious building that had been referred to as a kasbah looked like a fairly modern building.

15Kms away from Ouarzazate, you'll find the Fint Oasis, a declining small town by a soon-to-be Oued (underground river), due to the drying of that area.
Meet the locals, and they will invite you to their home to have a tea and to talk for a bit.
A must see...
