Provided that the drinks on offer are up to scratch the choice of a cafe is determined by convenience, view or, if you are an inhabitant, the company to be found there.
Well, the Arsenal Cafe was there in front of me and I was tickled to find a cafe of this name in Morocco. The owner had worked for a time in London and had saved enough to start up this very smart cafe well situated on (probably) Mohammed V Bvd, between the station and the Medina. Unfortunately his stay in London had turned him into a Gooner, and the framed Arsenal shirt on display was larger than the portrait of the King.
For those unfamiliar with the arcane world of English football supporters, Arsenal are a team hated by everybody except their actual supporters, and especially by supporters of Spurs and Chelsea. I am entirely not interested in football but in England you are not allowed not to support some team or other, and so I 'nominally support' Chelsea. Lived just across the tracks from Stamford Bridge once, that's my excuse. I also support Accrington Stanley because I like the name and they're hopeless.
