Chill you are in Chaouen...

by Remco_D

The main thing to do here is chilling and absorbing the mountain culture. When I left this little paradise my batteries where completely refilled, the kind of place you plan to stay for a day, but stay for a week.

Medina and Kasbah

by oceania26

One of the the prettiest and probably smallest I visited. No maps are necessary, you may lose your way but almost impossibly to get lost for any length of time. There's the main square and a kasbah you can visit for 10DH which is worth a look...not too much else to see. It's a very chill and relaxed atomosphere

Visit the Kasbah

by Adamis

The Kasbah is just off the central square in Chefchaouen Medina. It cost 10 Dirham to get in and comprised of some nice and well kept gardens, aswell as some walls and a tower to climb, giving a great view of the town and its surroundings. My pictures include the gardens, some views from the top of the tower and within, and some of the Kasbah wildlife.

The scenery around Chaouen

by Venturingnow

There is very beautiful scenery to be seen in the area around Chaouen, from harsh desert to lush forests, they are all here in the region of the Rif mountains. Get out one afternoon and hike up the surrounding hills in the area, there are some great views of the town from up near the hilltop hotel (there are signs everywhere for it).

The blue walls of Choauen

by Venturingnow

In Chefchaouen, the entire medina is covered with Andalusian pastel blue colors, from the ground to the roofs, they're all blue and some white. A walk around the medina will give you tons of opportunites to see the old walls, they are really beautiful.

Hang around the mian square

The main square is called the Plaza Uta el-Hammam and is a great place to just sit and relax. There are many cafe's and restaurants here all vying for your custom

Walk Around Town

by Adamis

My main pleasure in Chefchaouen was simply walking around the town, through the narrow streets looking at the beautiful blue and whitewashed buildings and meeting the friendly locals.
