Favorite thing: overland is cheaper but let's not forget that's lit bit dangerous . flying could be good and if you think about your question i think flying or crossing the distance between morocco and senegal will cost you the same .i am sur there are flight cost about 150€/250€ .the only avantage on travelling overland is what you 'll see on the way ( beautiful places...desert along the way ..)
and if you'll travel overland you'll be late (it take much time).
by the way ' you will spend 1/2 days to cross morocco from marakech. the only way is from layun to mauritania then to nkchaut . the desert could be something beautiful but peopl need and MUST be carfull i wouldn't try that with my friends again !/just in case we are a group over 20 .
buses get into the capital in a late hours and that make it wors ....the few hotels at the town exist in the shadow i remember that we sleept at the floor for allmost 5hrs . the towns apear and sometime it show you that you are in a war squar .
in the morning we found our hotel and spent 2 days to visit the camel race . poor camels ...Jane said. ....mark i think it's car-race - some guys drive behind camels and make them run faster...faster...-
