If you are driving from Tanger which is around 66kms away, you can take the N1 through Briech, Asiah and Lixus or take the highway. You will then have to take the exit to Larache. From Rabat take the A1 or P2. Speed limits are 100kmh on the open roads and 120kmh on the motorways. There are enclosed garages where you will pay very little to park or parking areas which have 24 hr surveillance for a small fee.

I arrived to larache by own car from Poland through Germany, France, Spain (ferry Algeciras - Ceuta). Larache is located on the Atlantic Ocean Coast 85km (53 mi) south of Tangier, 195km (121 mi) north of Rabat - the capital of Morocco and about 5 km (3 mi) south of the Roman ancient ruins of Lixus. main road P2 from Tangier through Asilah to Larache was of good quality and almost empty.
I found driving a little bit chaotic but easy in Larache, as usual in Moroccan cities. Traffic is light, there are no traffic jams there. I could easly find a place to park my car, very close to Place de La Liberation which was my starting point to discover Larache on foot. It took me 2-3 hours to walk around the old Arab town (the medina) and additional 1 hour around the New City (Cite Nouvelle).
You can get to Larache by a scheduled bus (from most destinations in Morocco) or a shared taxi as well.
