Popular Restaurants | Other Restaurants Tips | All Tips (53) As this was an organised tour, we had no choice of Restaurants. This is supposed to be a 'typical Moroccan Restaurant', and it seemed very nice. The cost of the meal was included in the package, but any soft drinks, such as 'Coke', had to be bought separately at a reasonable cost.

A day before the visit to Tangier we stayed at Ceuta. Urszula, my wife, read in our travel book and told me where not to stop in Tangier. Reffering to the book the worst reputation had the Petit Socco (the Little Square) in the medina where drug deals are made, human smuggling planned and prostitution performed.
That's why... I stopped in that coffee shop in the Petit Socco. Hmm... we didn't spot any of the above activities, drank a coffee and juice and gave up. Although a young guy behind me told me something more than bounjour in French but I couldn't understand it. There are only a few small, uncomfortable chairs and tables put on the narrow and busy main street but exclusively in front of just that coffee shop.
Only coffee and orange juice with ice. The best dish was... watching hundreds of locals and visitors walking in front of us and a lot of good laugh about the place of the worst reputation in Tangier :-).

The Cheff is just an incredible Character, it really deserved the experience. You do not choose the food you are going to eat, he just talks with you and decides what you will eat, also will tell you about your health ;-) and will show you herbs and oils good for everything

The restaurant of the hotel was as the rest of the hotel a place to let you mind travel through time, we were trying to guess which of the chairs we were in, was the one where Churchill sat years ago or where Coppola had his lunch.. or … a long list the one that includes all the famous people that had sit there…
As we were half board, we could choose which meal we wanted, lunch or dinner. All really good. As most of the experiences in Morocco at the beginning is always difficult but later on we became good friends of the waiter, he was very helpful !
Standard price for a meal there is around 10 euros per person or less (for example water, soup and kebah and dessert)

We have one of the best NYE of our lives, the experience, the people, music, food all made it perfect!
This restaurant is one of the few that celebrate the NYE and keeps the tradition that left the Spanish people of the 12 grapes. You should book in advance and not leave it till the last minute as we did, but we were lucky to get the best seats next to the family and enjoy all the shows!
This restaurants also takes groups reservations, so maybe if you come in an organise group, you may find here, try the tajini and the pastela, they were out of this world!

Moroccan chicken and cous cous is amazing. Never have I had better chicken than I did while I was in Tangier.

A beautiful restaurant, lovely decorated, partly in an Andaluz style, with a friendly atmosphere. They are serving, of course their speciality and traditional dishes. We got fine entrees here and the popular couscous plate shared with our new found friends from Canada. What we found very unique of this place is the kitchen. The cooking is made at the second floor while the guests are in the first floor. It is a sort of a feet-workout, i think, with its almost 20 steps. I am sure I will recieve derogatory comments about this tip (as I did on my Jordan page!) But yes, we went to Tangier and ate in Pizza Hut.
It was very surprising the obvious difference in wealth between the people of the medina, and the relative moneyed people in Pizza Hut with the BMW & new Mercs the customers pulled up in.
Salad bar, and vegetable feast pizza, Yummy! They seemed to have the standard or very similar menu here has that have in every other Pizza Hut I have been too.
