morocco

This is an amazing scenery. The Mediterranean sea starts to shows its beauty and you'll be fascinated by its looks. All the region of the north of Morocco close to the border (also south of spain close to algeciras and tarifa) is a very complicated place to weather conditions. Expect bad weather for the majority of times even in summer as big atlantic storms can easily disturb this narrow straight f Gibraltar and surroundings.

This will be your first contact with Morocco if your getting there from Ceuta. Beware and don't make first judgements on what you will first see here at the first town and on the first buildings and people while entering Morocco. This is not all like this and I'm sure you'll enjoy and find more interesting places than this one Fnideq.
Only 32 km away you have Tetouan, a World Heritage protected site from UNESCO, where you can easily get in a few couple of minutes driving.
Chefchaouene is also near, 102km.

taxi morocco africa ceuta

If you decide to enter Morocco on foot coming from Ceuta is not very complicated, just passport you out of the country and you're ready to take a taxi wherever you desire to go. deal the taxi price before you actually go inside the car, dont let taxi drivers pick you bags and dont accept haxixe smoking.

morocco border africa ceuta

This picture is exactly on the border point of Morocco where you have to stop and make the formalities.

First you should go to the first green cabin and ask for green papers for car ensurance, after go to exchance some money on the opsite side (almost the end of te offices) and then on the folowing office make your ensurance formalities (you can get a government car ensurance 47 euros for 5 days), then go to the person that went with you to make pasports (its better if you go with a freidn for him to stay and make passport formalities while you take care of car problems), get your passport and go to the first cabin where you asked for the green papers and deliver them. your ready to go after you check papers on the police men in charge of costums to set you free.
