    Tafraoute Things to Do

A Fantastic drive out to the Afella Ighir - ie the beautiful gorges of Ait Mansour and then on further along the way the hillside ksar villages of Gdourt, which I had a great adventure visiting following tracks through holes ie falling down buildings...though not necessarily safe but made great photos!!, and Aguerd Imlal - both these ksar villages...

    Tafraoute Things to Do

The road to Tanalt goes from near the far end of the Ameln valley and its signposted turn hares the sign to Anergui but continues on round and heads up over Jebel Kest to the villages and dramatic landscape behind.Very scenic with typical red and pink mudbrick houses and kasbahs, many perched on terraced hillsides and blending in or contrasting...

    Tafraoute Things to Do

In French this interesting rock formation is known as Le Chapeau de Napoleon - Napoleons hat....not nose!1 km and visible from Tafraoute is the town or area's distinctive landmark - most advertising will have this representing Tafraoute as one of many, many interesting or beautiful rock formations or mountains around the area - and they are pretty...

  • Grills at the market

    Sidi Ifni Restaurants

I don't like dining alone, especially in formal restaurants, so a cheap cafe with quick service is ideal for me. Around the market area are several outdoor grill stalls, where you can get bits of meat and seafood grilled to order...it helps if you know the Arabic or French for offal, unless you like surprises! Anyway, some of these grills had...

    Sidi Ifni Things to Do

Aside from the main buildings described in other tips, Sidi Ifni has several other beautiful buildings in various states of dilapidation, and it is worth just having a wander through some of the less touristy streets. You'll come across the occasional little square or elegant stairway, colourful fountains or tiled benches, hinting at the town's not...

  • Grands Taxis

    Sidi Ifni Transportation

Shared taxis and the occasional bus leave from a small depot hidden in the backstreets some distance from the seafront. I arrived from Inezgane (a large market town between Agadir and it's airport, with good transport connections) in about 4 hours, which took the scenic route through Massa, Plage d'Aglou and Mirhleft, all on a coastal route,...

    Aglou Things to Do

some of the most beautiful sunsets Ive seen have been in Morocco - and at a beachside or coastal setting is a rather picturesque optionThe promenade along the beach at Aglou provides some height and elevation which makes for lovely sunsets across the ocean towards Aglou - and there are a few cafes just there on the promenade you could sit at with...

    Aglou Things to Do

When you drive down into Aglou heading for the beach you will come to the carpark and then from there a long embankment or promenade which has been paved for a long way. Along here you can view the beach and crashing waves below you. The coastline stretches to the north into the distance and in the south you can see the bay of fishermen's houses...

    Cedar Forest

by brancolini Written Jul 23, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

10 Kms south of Azrou, on your way to the Great South, you'll find a peculiar sight: a cedar forest.
Its smell is magnificent and the light that screens down from the tree tops is spectacular (a must for photographers). You will find there groups (families?) of monkeys (small grey ones) that will surround you for food, but that unfortunately are hunted down to be sold...
very, very nice, and showing the diversity of landscapes that Morocco has.
