by Goamadness

In Morocco your best of if your using a Taxi. There are 'grand' and 'petit' taxis. The petit-taxis are less then half price. the grand-taxis are usually Mercedes. You can also use the bus. There are public buses and private buses. In Morocco its the other way around. the public buses are a little more expensive,... but I rather had used them then the all broken other buses, where theconducter screems around all the time without having a reason. Also they always charge you for your luggage. For lifting it up on the bus and charge you for giving it back.

by lichinga

Flying to Casablanca is not difficult, but the passport control queue is rather boring. Years ago, Casablanca was well reputed as being the intermediate stop for the cheapest trips from Europe to Brazil, flying Royal Air Maroc, but now it's no more true.Although Fez, Marrakech and Agadir are also international airports, direct flights to there are not so common if you look for scheduled ones. Of course, tourist charters land there normally. It's worth saying that Canary islands lie only 40 km away from the Southern Moroccan coast, but flights are rare (a couple of flights a week) from Laayoune, Agadir or Casablanca. The Mohammed V International Airport is 30 km South East of Casablanca. It is perfectly connected by a confortable train to the city centre (80 DRH for first class trip) and taxis are much more expensive, of course. Take care of a little detail: Casablanca ('Casà' in the...

Internal flights, operated by Royal Air Maroc provide flights to Agadir, Al Hoceima, Casablanca, Dakhta, Er Rachidia, Fez, Laayoune, Marrakesh, Meknes, Ouarzazate, Oujda, Rabat-Sale, Smara, Tangier, Tan-Tan, and Tetouan. They offer particularly attractive prices.TaxisVery cheap, the 'Petite Taxi' (maximum three people), have a distinctive, bright color for each town; red in Casablanca, blue in Rabat, etc. They only drive in town and will not, for example, take you to the airport some way from the city center. They can take on other passengers who are going in the same direction. Settle the price before leaving if they have no meter. Collective or individual, the 'Grand Taxi', maximum 6 people, will take you to the outer suburbs or other towns. You are advised to fix the price in advance.

INTERNATIONAL AIRLINESThere are many possibilities for those travelling with airplanes. CASABLANCA Most larger European destination, plus Gibraltar. Most Middle Eastern capitals. Nouakchott. New York. Montreal. AGADIR Charter planes. TANGIER Madrid, Gibraltar. Charter planes. MARRAKECH Several French cities, Geneva, London, Rome, Munich, Madrid and Gibraltar. Charter planes. OUJDA Several French cities, Amsterdam, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Stockholm. FEZ Several French cities, Geneva, London, Rome, and Munich. OUARZAZATE Paris. LAAYOUNE Abidjan, Libreville, and the Canary Islands. Prices vary immensely from place to place, and somewhat from air carrier to air carrier. The best place to set out are Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Paris. The cheapest charter flights are often found in Scandinavia, but these are normally limited to Agadir during winter time.

Me, I flew from Canada so the only way to get there is by plane. Some of you who live in Europe can go there by car or by train. The best way to really visit this city is to walk. If you walk you can se a lot of thing. If you dont like to walk or 'not today' you can take a Petit Taxi who will bring you anywhere inside Marrakesh. But if you want to go somewhere outside Marrakesh, you have to take a Grand Taxi.If you want to go somewhere very far and dont want to pay a lot, you can take the train very inexpensive and beautiful to see the landscape of Morocco. A trip of 4 hours beween Casablanca and Marrakesh cost me only 73 dirhams (approx 7.30 US$). Not very expensive. Here's the pitcture of a 'Petit Taxi'

by plane, many cities have an international airport;but you can arrive by boat from algeciras(spain);there is a boat almost every 30 minutes;unfortunately, the police and customs on the morocco side are very slow, you may spend 2 hours waiting for nothing at the border at your arrivaldo not make deals with people you do not know

by roberto123

the cheapest/best way to get to Morocco(leaving europe) is via Algeciras-Ceuta ferry, is much cheaper than the Algeciras-Tangier,and is much better to get into Morocco by spain's ceuta, the cultural diferences will not SHOCK-YOU.Take a ride by Bike...is not like being in China or Vietnam....but worth the try.

We took the ferry from Spain. It was great, except for the fact that it dropped us off in Tangiers. We used all sorts of transportation. We took a bus from Tangiers to Rabat, a train from Rabat to Marrakesh, and a car in a loop from Marrakesh to Fes and Rabat.

The way that I got to Morocco was by boat from the south coast of Spain. This took roughly an hour and was a fairly decent crossing, however, be careful when you reach customs in Morocco and be aware that you cannot take photographs of any soldiers or police over there.

by megraham

I would travel to Spain, cross over to Tangier and head down to Marrakesh, over to Ouarzazate, up to Oujda, Nador and into Melilla, and back over to Spain. Ferry, train south to Marrakesh, grand taxi over to Ouarzazte, a bus up to Oujda. Grand taxi to Nador, local cab to the border and cross over into a spanish city.See above.
