The eight hour train from Fes to Marrakech is a very nice way to see villages and forts, catch a glimpse Rabat and Casa, and meet people. It's comfortable and costs only about $33/22 USD 1st/2nd class.
All forms of transportation including ferries like this one from Spain. Once there, get a guide and driver. See if you can find an older man with a cane, he is superb. And will outwalk all of you.
There frequent busses around Morrocco.But trains are also frquent and might be more comfortable.
