THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR when driving in Morocco include, dogs, goats, cows and camels in the road. Also look out for traffic police, keep within the speed limit at all times or the cops will appear from nowhere and issue you with an on the spot fine. Sometimes they will stop you for a chat because you have foreign number plates. Driving at night can be hazardous as drivers do not always use their lights or they keep them on full beam to blind you. Try to park your car where there is a guardian, it will cost a few Dirham but you will have piece of mind. Again its the foreign plates that might cause unwanted attention. I hope I don't sound alarmist, it happens everywhere. Last year we took our Moroccan car to Spain and got our luggage nicked while we ate lunch.
