Favorite thing: The centre is the hub of a series of spacious avenues spreading out in star formation, each lined with elegant buildings that are an admirable blend of art deco and neo-Moorish styles, featuring cupolas, belvederes, columns, cedarwood balconies and turrets.
The buildings are of a French version of Arabo-Andalucian architecture, white with soft lines, and often plenty of details.
