I know, who would not visit this beautiful Mosque ? The second largest mosque in the world !
Anyway, I have to say its a architectural gem with a spectaular ocean view . French architect Michel Pinseau designed the mosque & it has the tallest minaret in the world, standing at 689 feet or 210 meters.
I read from a somewhere says this about the location of the Mosque :
"It was decided by King Hassan II that the mosque should be built on this location because of a verse found in the Qur'an, which says that God's throne was built over the water. The King wanted worshippers to be able to see God's creations like the ocean and the sea."
I think the location & the spectacular view fit the description ....

It is nice to see the old Medina but be very careful , you might an expensive item that costs nothing , try to go with a local person you trust.
Dont talk to touts and people who try to grab you inside to buy somthing.
It is nice and safe to visit the Mosque( Organided tours by 5*hotels).
