Circuit Marrakech Private Day Tours provided one of the most exciting and fulfilling tour services I have ever come across. My wife and I were nothing short of absolutely amazed at what they were able to offer and we will definitely be back one day in the future! In addition, I’m so confident in recommending them that I have suggested them to several of my friends!
Moroccans are crazy about football, although there's not been a lot to celebrate in recent years due to the fall from grace of the Moroccan national team - the former African champions. The club teams have been doing much better, especially the two Casablanca giants, Wydad and Raja.
In fact it was the club team, Raja, that was in Marrakech when I visited. They were playing in the FIFA World Club Cup. The first night I was there the Moroccan team played the Brazilian champions, Atletico Mineiro, fielding former player of the year Ronaldinho. No Moroccan thought victory was possible, but against all odds Raja won 3-1.
When the final whistle blew the street outside my apartment went insane. Every car was beeping. I saw a man riding shotgun on a motorbike standing up on the seat as they wove in and out of the traffic. People were dancing in the middle of a busy intersection. Fans were just walking in the road shouting while the cars drove around them.
Raja lost in the final against the European Champions Bayern Munich, but the tournament was a success and now the Moroccans are looking forward to hosting the African Cup of Nations next year, in 2015. Marrakech, with one of the best stadiums in the country, is involved and will be sure to hold some of the biggest games of the tournament.
Football games can get a bit rowdy, and you might want to avoid local games against teams from Casablanca, but for international tournaments I think the Moroccan love of guests overrides any axes they might have to grind. For the FIFA Club World Cup the Moroccan fans were wonderful and only wanted to dance, sing and have their picture taken with you.

Oukaimeden:North Africa's largest ski resort
Oukaimeden, is North Africa's largest ski resort and has the continent's highest lift.
"Meaning valley of four winds, it is set to become the ultimate four season mountain destination for recreation, entertainment, relaxation and residence as well as becoming the Middle East and Africa's only golf and ski resort." These are the words of Emaar, who, in March 2006 announced a multi-billion dollar investment in Oukaimeden.
Currently the season is short. Mid January to mid February is usually the best time for good snow. When conditions are good, there are up to 20 km (13 miles) of runs, the longest being 3 km (nearly 2 miles) in length, and you can hire a mule to access terrain not served by lifts, opening up some impressive steeps and chutes.
Emaar has big plans to make Oukaimeden a far more reliable ski resort, with a season prolonged by artificial snow and, in keeping with Berber design and architecture of the great Atlas Mountains, Oukaimeden village will combine commercial, office, retail, entertainment and dining amenities with a full range of residential options to choose from. With 2,000 hotel rooms, more than 300 retail units and 25,000 sq. metres of business and conference facilities planned, Oukaimeden will be a year round hive of activity.

Oukaïmeden Ski Resort
Oukaïmeden is a ski resort in the Atlas Mountains. It is located about an hour south of Marrakech off the road through Vallée d'Ourika. The short skiing season is generally in January and February. While I did not have the opportunity to ski the mountain, the idea of skiing in Africa seems fascinating to me. Why not consider it if you find yourself in Marrakech in winter!Related to:
