I would just like to say a big warm thank you to the team from Taxi In Marrakesh for organisimg a brilliant tour for my mother and I for her birthday.She enjoyed every moment of our tour to the ourika waterfalls.

I recently went on holidays with my family to Marrakesh, and as I was searching for information about transportation, I found a company called Taxi In Marrakesh. We booked a tour to the desert through them, and they were really supportive and spoke English well. The tour itself was perfect! and the price was reasonable too.

Following good reports on RADWAN (contact @excursions-marrakech.com) phone 0021 12661438007 we phoned him to arrange pick up for 6 from the airport. We were not disappointed and his 7 seater car was perfect and we booked him and his cousin Alli for a trip for 8 of us to the Atlas mountains during our stay and again for return to the airport. Both men were gentlemen and informative and deserve to do well and be supported. Both speak several languages well which we found most helpful.

Once again thanks to Radwan (contact@excursiones-marrakech.com) for being so efficient with airport transfers and also for a wonderful day in the Atlas mountains. Radwan is smart, friendly and lots of fun, and his 7 seater vehicle well maintained. He is also a brilliant driver in the very difficult and busy city conditions. We would certainly recommend contacting him for any trips you need to do by taxi, whether it be a sightseeing trip, airport transfers or simply to take you to a restaurant for dinner and return you back to your accommodation again.

Thanks to Chilledascanbe we used www.excursiones-marrakesh.com last week and had a great time. Radwan was waiting at the airport to take us to the hotel and gave us good advice about using other forms of transport around the town.
We arranged a full day out with him into the Atlas Mountains and a half day sight-seeing around the city. He couldn't have been more helpful. He stopped whenever we wanted a photo, drink walk and even arranged at short notice, lunch in a genuine Berber home. (Pay extra for this).
The half day tour (this time with his cousin Ali) took us to six sites in the city and he was always in sight as we came out ready to move on.
Finally he was there for our transfer back to the airport. He took us to our boarding desk before leaving, where he wished us well.
Both of the men were great company and had much knowledge of Marrakesh and its surroundings. I would reccommend their services anytime.

Getting around Marrakech by taxi is quick and easy and cheap - in Morocco called petit taxi - in Marrakech theyre small beigey coloured (beaten up a bit usually!) car - they really are cheap - 15 dirham or 20 at the most to get out to Marjane for example which is quite a long trip - usually 15 for anywhere around the city and cheaper if you are sharing as often if theres room and someone going your way the driver might let someone else jump in - usually asking you quickly first if its not okay.
Charges are a little more at night ie more so 20 and even 30 to come back from Marjane than 15 for general trips to places.

The story changes though if its getting from the airport though - then the rip off the tourist stuff sets in - 150 dirham they usually ask without blinking knowing that first time visitors will not question this - Ive seen the signs that said taxis should be 55 dirham into the city centre but that was while the new airport while still getting its finishing touches and no new sign has appeared - and now its even more difficult unless youre a local or speaking arabic to do much about it - as they will just tell you to take the bus if youre not happy about it!

Grande taxis are big 6 seater diesel mercede cars which are usually used for long distance travel between towns and cities - and are usually based at their 'Grand taxi station' near the main bus station in the city - but are used from the airport for groups - taking up to 6 passengers - and of course travellers with luggage that mightnt fit in a tiny petit taxi. Their asking price is not much different getting from the airport as the rip off little ones. but try and haggle anyway. Really the price shouldnt be more than 70-100 dirham.

Myself and 3 others travelled to Marrakech in early April this year (2011). We were greeted and collected by Radwan, a polite, smart and helpful gentleman with a very nice air-conditioned 7 seater that comfortably took us and our suitcases to our hotel some 8km away. His email is contact@excursiones-marrakech.com. As we were self catering, we needed to get to the Supermarket. He took us there, waited for an hour whilst we shopped, then took us to the cashpoint some distance away and then took us back to our apartment via a route that showed us a very nice area called Hivernage which we wouldn't otherwise have known to visit. He didn't have to do that and only charged us 10 euros (equivalent) for the entire trip. I cannot recommend him more highly. He was an absolute godsend. Totally reliable and very reasonable. He also did excursions into the mountains. We didn't take one, but we recommended him to someone else and they said he was excellent. Again his email is contact@excursiones-marrakech.com.
