try visit Volubilis ruins before late afternoon

We made a mistake of visiting late in the afternoon during winter.It was almost total darkness when we walked our way back. There is no lights at the site except the entrance. I do not think any one can find you if you left behind....at least not easy to look since the place is big.However, you can take stunning sunset pictures like me to remember the moment & start to panic & run your way out

Try not visit Volubilis after the rain

Its not fun to clean clay mud on your shoes.It was not even fun to walk around when you shoes sank into the clay mudI tried to clean the clay mud off my shoes at the hotel with the shoe-cleaning machine...all I know is I almost broke a few of them (my hotel was so nice that they have one on each floor) & I can see the mud stuck on all the shoe polish brushes. I hope they don't have circuit tv monitor to find out about me ....however, mud was still on my shoes when I returned home & I had to use my power washer to blast them off in a cold novemeber winter afternoon .....

Danger - Boring City Ahead

If you're planning on touring Morocco's Imperial cities, I recommend visiting Meknes before Fes and Marrakech. We stopped at Meknes on the way to Volubilis from Fes and it hardly seemed necessary.Meknes seems like a mellow stop with not many hassles. I would have like to enjoy it more.
