I really wanted to eat here. Twice. The first time was at lunch, but they ran out of food. The second time was at night but they had too many people. Rather than make us feel welcome or suggest we get some drinks, the staff made us feel in the way. In fact they made sure to let us know they did not want us there. Too bad. The food looked wonderful and the setting is very nice. Prices were very high for Mozambique, but you get lots of diving tourists here.
Take a chance if you can afford it!
Favorite Dish:
I don't know! They wouldn't serve me during either visit!

This restaurant is formed by a massive wooden terrace that towers over the southern end of the beach. Service is rapid and friendly. The menu is very large and diverse. You can sit on long benches that go right to the edge. Music blends into the backgroung to make a great dinning experience.
Casa Barry also offers accomodation in the budget range.
Favorite Dish:
I had the half chicken and salad washed down by some cold 2M beers. Deeply satisfying!

Nice restaurant, are central to Tofo where we find the quality of French cuisine, although the products are 100% local.
Perfect for a meal with family or friends for those who enjoy, like me, the carpaccio, the Feuillete of fish with a glass of wine.

Once we parked the car in Tofo Beach, several street sellers round us showing their stuff. Goods were either woodcraft or food, mostly seafood. Since it was lunch time, our option turn on the fresh lobster that was being shown to us. After some negotiation the final price for 9 lobsters was 1,050 Meticais, approx 28 Euros, to feed the 3 of us. Price included the use of the grill in a local restaurant. Whatever the price we pay I always wonder whether we are buying expensive and that a better deal would have been possible. Everybody knows that local people ask for higher prices for any foreigner buyer they find on the street but, oh well, that's life. At the local restaurant the only napkins available is toilet paper !! That's not a big deal I should say for while traveling in China I've got used to use to see that on the food table as well. For a better experience, one has to kind of live & eat like the local people do. The lobster was great. The chef did a great job with the spicy sauce, which was very tasty, salty, and not too much spicy. We ended up all satisfied with the whole meal that pretty much was grilled lobster & beer.

The Tofo area of Inhambane is a beautiful stretch of beach. I actually stayed on Barra beach, ust along from Tofo but the whole area is superb for relaxing for a few days and diving and snorkelling.
