This is a small place run by a lady, called the "chinese " by the locals, who has some traditional dishes in the menu. Go in the morning to place the order for your meal otherwise you'll not find anything available!
Try the Matapa de folha de mandioca com castanha de caju, and the caril de camarão (shrimp curry) with arroz de coco. They will also serve a wonderful sauce made with lemons preserved in salt and piri piri.

It's considered the best restaurant of the island and effectively you can have great grilled fish and also some traditional dishes like Tocossado de peixe. There is a larger variety in the menu but you have to book in advance. Great old style atmosphere with music, few tables, they also have a nice patio overlooking the beach.
