The taxi stop in Katima Mulilo is located further down the main street, aprox 500 meters from the Shell station. The taxis park under a big tree and wait for passengers. This is also the place you take the minibus to Kasane, Botswana at 07 and 09 AM.

Drive 1 km north from Katima Mulilo centre until you reach the B8 road, then turn right and drive east along the Zambezi river. The road will turn south after a while, which is the logical way to Ngoma border. The distance is 70 km from Katima to the border, and the road is very good with asphalt paving.
You will pass through some lodges and many villages on the way. Some of them are the most primitive villages you can imagine. The locals were friendly, smiled and made salutes when the taxi passed by their villages. A great off the beaten path experience.

It's 70 km from Katima Mulio to Ngoma border, Botswana. And further 50 km to Kasane, which is the largest town on the Botswana side. The road is very good.
1. There are 2 minibuses every morning at 07 and 09 from Katima Mulilo to Kasane. The price is about 10 USD. But that is too early if you arrive from Windhoek with the nightbus. You can stay one night in Katima Mulilo or...
2. Try to arrange a trip with a local driver. Make sure your driver has a passport and go all the way to Kasane and DON'T stop your journey at the border (read the warnings tip...).
