Ngepi Camp

by georeiser

Ngepi Camp in the upper Okavango delta in the western Caprivi strip has a moral statement against George Bush in USA, and rather not want you to stay in the camp if you are with him. I don't know how literal they take it, but you may have some objections if you are with Bush. It's about time to remove this banner from the website. Bush is not in office anymore... childish or not? See their website. http://www.ngepicamp.com

Wild and dangerous animals

by georeiser

The wetland in Caprivi are home to dangerous animals like hippos and crocodiles. But the elephants are more dangerous. 75% of all human deaths from wildlife in Africa are elephant attacks. Caprivi is no exception with its large number of elephants.

Malaria information

by georeiser

The Caprivi is the wettest region in Namibia and receives high rainfalls during the rainy season (December to March). The mosquitos flourish in high temperatures with high humidity factor. Malaria prophylactic is strongly recommended for Caprivi in the rainy season.

Elephants

by Anysis

The road through the Caprivi strip is... hm, interesting. But what I particularly liked where the "Beware of the Elephants!" signs.
