There are many trails to walk along the Canyon. It is the second largest Canyon in the world and is quite the site. However, if you have visited The Grand Canyon, this will not seem all that impressive. It's very hot during the day, so don't plan on doing any hikes in the middle of the day. Furthermore, you are not allowed down in the Canyon without a park official/guide. Fines are heavy if you get caught. There are several lookout points along the edge of the canyon, take a few beers and enjoy the sunset, or moonrise - you can watch both at the same time.

The hike around the rim of the canyon in Namibia was one amazing experience.
The Fish River Canyon is so huge, and is indescribable - you just have to visit to see!
The hike is easy and doesn't take that long, the views are absolutley spectacular and there are plenty of photo opportunities.

Fish River Canyon is the second largest canyon in whole world, the Fish river runs 650kms and runs through the canyon.
We never hiked inside the canyon itself, however, this is possible, instead we walked around the rim of the crater.

This is the closest town to The Fish River Canyon. The Canyon should definitely be on your list of things to see in Namibia. It is the second largest Canyon behind The Grand Canyon in USA.
