Karibib could never lay claim to being the gastronomic centre of the world, but when it comes to doing the basics of ice cold beer and hulking great slabs of top quality meat right, this place has it down to a fine art.
I used to spend an inordinate amount of time here in the happy days when I used to travel to Karibib on business, as the club served as a meeting place for mine employees after work - indeed, I often stayed in the accommodation here (and before you wonder, this was by prior arrangement rather that because I was too stotious to drive home)!
Like most Namibian hostelries, you will be greeted warmly and probably spend the rest of the evening being plied with equally large amounts of alcohol and hospitality. Namibians have big hearts and as Karibib doesn't see too many out-of-towners (since these tend to drive straight through from Windhoek to Swakop and don't stop over), by the end of the evening, you'll probably have made friends for life!
Just not a good place to be a vegetarian or a teetotaller ... or, God forbid, both!
