Favorite thing: In Independence Avenue, you can find this little old houses that make you think of Bavaria, more than Africa. Most of them are now tourist shops and offices. At left side you can see the Kalahari Sands Hotel, a classical here and a common meeting point for safaris...
Fondest memory: The new Supreme court in Windhoek is a massive concrete building painted in pastel colors. It's located next to the big parking area in the centre of Windhoek.
Fondest memory: This photo from a school in Windhoek shows that the living standards in Windhoek is quite higher than usual in Africa.
Fondest memory: The monument of Curt von Francois, the founder of Windhoek in 1890, is just another german monument in the city.
Fondest memory: Windhoek is a city with many religious sites. I have never heard of "Universal Church of the Kingdom of God". Anyway, the denomination assembly is in the Independece Avenue. The door was wide open.
Favorite thing: I guess it just something they have to do. They do run away VERY quickly when you get too close trying to take their picture.
