Warehouse Theater: Aphrodisiac - every 2nd Sunday

    • Get a feel for the local Namibian artists. This is the best place to sample Namibian music.
    There are always live performances and as mentioned in the title, every second Sunday they have an aphrodisiac theme. This is an evening of smoothe live music by our own international artist Elomoto.

    • No, it's not a jazz club :)

    This is a great place to go if you want to have some drinks as well as dance. There is enough light (I don't like dark places) and the music is great. You'll find a really interesting crowd of people there. You could recline on comfy couches/louning chairs down on the main floor or watch everyone from the second level or you could even sit outside on the big patio/balcony and ...enjoy the night air.

    • Well if you want to meet the Namibian "youth" (25-35) this is the place to go. It' basically a bar but has a small dancing area. The thing with places like these is that if you don't have the right company you might not enjoy it...my opinion anyway...I'm not a huge bar person. But my friends definitely like El Cubano :)

    Namibians like to dress fashionably. So even if the dress code is casual to smart casual, just be warned that you might feel "out dressed" ;)

    • With such great beer, the Windhoek Lager it is obviously that there should be some pubs and beer houses and so I heard of Joe's place. But as we arrived to Windhoek early in the morning we were out of town by the afternoon and didn't have the time to check it out, but it is also good to leave something for the next visit :)

    Windhoek lager is the national beer. It taste good and has 4 percent alcohol.

    Chez Ntemba prides itself as an international nightclub of the highest standard. A local lady told me that this is THE place in Windhoek to party. They have some nights where ladies in bikinis get in for free and get free drinks. Genius! They have loads of events, guest DJ’s and even road shows.

    Open 9pm-5am Wed-Sun. Admission varies but is reasonable.

    Please make sure that, if you are a man, you adhere to the proper dress code and conform to the rules.

    There is a story here about the owner of the Chez Ntemba being injured after the security guards of his own club enforced the rules!
