It takes 3-4 hours to drive from Windhoek to Sossusvlei sand dunes. A day visit with guide cost 2000 N$ per car (excl. entrance fee of 200 N$ per person).

Windhoek downtown is the only place where you find some high buildings. The area is clean and the buildings are modern. It looks like an european city. The parks are gathering place for the youth.

The famous church in Windhoek has the dull name of Christuskirche (Christians Church). It's a historical monument and a nice construction, and build for the Lutheran congregation from 1896-1910.
