Hardap Dam National Park
Hardap dam is the largest man made dam in Namibia... about 20 km from Mariental .. they have got chalets ... dormitory as well as camping and caravan site... the camping or i would say everything (accommodation) is not well preserved or perhaps they are learning or may be lack of staff etc. you wont find green grass at camping ... its dry all around, however they have got water but still it is not managed.. even outside chalets its bushes i mean no clean grass... but anyway sunset and sunrise at Hardap dam was marvellous.. there is small walking trail 4.5 km but almost 5-6 km from residential areas and after the bridge there is no tar road and gravel is very poor condition... entrance into hardap is like all other namibian national parks 170 rands or namib dollors... camping is 155 rands per person... they do not accept as per camp..
