Le Gourmet is tucked away in a corner about 100yds from the minaret mosque located. The menu offers a good variety and is very reasonably priced, for a group of four of us, which included a main meal and a round of soft drinks 6,000 CFA which I though wasn't bad at all.
Ive eaten here on several occassions and seems to be popular with locals and visitors.

Since I immediately fell in love with the “cucinier” in hotel Tidene, I had there the majority of my meals.
I also tried the restaurant “Il gourmet”, close to Hotel de l’Air. The place is worth a visit. If you arrive in the evening you’ll probably find the owner very busy looking at tv. He will ask you, politely, not to bother him too much. The menu is displayed on a big blackboard at his back. Read silently, choose and, just when you’re really sure about what you wish to eat, just at that point tell him.
He, without trying to hide his disappointment, will go in the back, probably he will prepare the food, and he will come back with something delicious. Do not take too much notice of hygiene.
At the night market, set in the nearby of hotel Tidene lots of stalls selling every kind of food. I had precious fried igname there; and no stomach problems at all.
