Aba Nightlife

Aba has no night life I know of. Except for those who are doing bachelors eve. They hold these parties at night, beginning around 11pm till morning. These are usually held at designated hotels. It features heavy music from loudspeakers played by DJ's. A selection of local and foreign songs, mostly American hipop. There are also a number of Nigerian and African highlife music played as well.
Bachelor's Eve parties are usually for the youth and as such sometimes violent. There maybe fights over minor issues as dance partners. But some couples take these parties seriously and provide security to make sure there is peace throughout the period of the party. Comedians feature too to crack jokes and make people laugh. After a certain period the couple leave the party to go and sleep against their wedding tomorrow. There are free drinks, and snacks. When the couples dance people are expected to through money at them. This is very common in parties across Nigeria
Any lady going to such parties should stick to one man. If she moves from man to man she may cause quarreling among the men.

Dress Code: No special dress is required at Bachelors Eves parties. But its advisable to dress informally. Jeans trousers are allowed too.
