1 hour drive from Abuja are the Gurara Water Falls. During the rainy season its a spectacular place to visit, during the dry season, you can also enjoy a swim.
From the parking area there is a steep descent towards the river. local boys are more then happy to carry your picnic stuff down and back to the car when you are through.
there is a small fee to pay at the entrance.
