    Said to be the oldest in Africa the dye pits are interesting site to see with men and their hands dyed indigo. You can see the cloth being dyed and you can buy some of their works if you would want to do so. Unfortunatly not all the pits are filled with dye, many are filled with garbage as you can see in the picture.

    Although there is not much left of these walls they are still worth checking out if you are in the city. I don't know there exact age but it is quite old.

    Not the greatest looking mosque but a very important one that gathers up to 50,000 people for prayers. Right in the same area there is a good museum and the Emir's Palace.

    Kano is a very attractive and busy place in the North of Nigeria.
    The Durbar festival which take place twice a year during the Muslim celebration of Id-el-fitr and Id-el-kebir is a very good opportunity to go and visit Kano.
